About your pickleball coach
With over five years of playing experience and four years of coaching under my belt, I am a seasoned pickleball enthusiast. I recently became the Assistant Director and Head Coach of Sportime Wayne. Previously I’ve served as Director of Pickleball Operations at Pickleball Kingdom in Hamilton, NJ. And Director of Pickleball Operations at the Atlantic Club in Manasquan, NJ. As a PPR certified coach and the proud owner of NJ United Pickleball Academy, I oversee a range of activities including lessons, clinics, leagues, and tournaments. Additionally, I contribute to BetterPickleball.com, lending my expertise to projects and instructional camps. My involvement with UTR Sports sees me managing flex leagues in New Jersey, while with TGA Sports of Bergen County, I nurture young talent through pickleball camps. At TJD Sports Academy, I facilitate recreational programs tailored for beginner and intermediate adults, rounding out my dedication to spreading the joy of pickleball at all levels.

VINCE is wonderful!! We laughed and had so much fun all the while teaching me the ropes! I truly enjoyed my time at pickleball kingdom the place is just stunning! Everything is brand new! The staff is amazing but most of all you feel safe there! As a beginner it was important to me that I felt comfortable and was given patience while learning. Coach Vince went above and beyond to brake down every small detail..The directions he gave were so easy to understand and follow along with him!! All of my boxes were checked ✔️ I’ll definitely be back!!

Met Vince in April 2023. He was the pickleball instructor for our 6-week, group beginner lessons. Vince communicated clearly, demonstrates the skills, observes, and coaches to all abilities. Had so much fun, we signed up for his advanced class for six additional weeks! Since then I have had private lessons with Vince to work on my serve, which now is a strength of my game. I have also done ball machine drills with Vince coaching my net play. He has a large following so his open play and tournaments fill up quickly, are competitive and people have a great time! I also participated with a group of players for video analytics by Vince; the reports were thorough, instructive and helped to improve my game. And when my husband showed interest in learning pickleball, he signed up for lessons and open play with Vince, enjoyed it so much he is now playing in a league! Vince is a wonderful instructor, patient, encouraging, and communicates daily with a large group of players keeping everyone at all levels involved in pickleball!

I have been working with Vince over the past year. My first experience was in a large group setting, where he introduced the basics of pickleball in a sequential manner where all levels met success. I have also worked with Vince in a small group settings where he instructed us on dinks, ball placements, and serves. Vince was able to evaluate my play and break down a skill in order for me to improve my game. His knowledge and patience has helped me improve my game greatly. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonLearn a little about the goals for the player. If a new student, start with the basics of pickleball. Ideally would like student to be able to serve and return after first lesson. Start to go over different shots and mechanics
Lesson 11+By the point hopefully you won’t be a beginner anymore.
Lesson 4-10Lots of open plays and working on areas that we are struggling with. By later lessons students should feel comfortable on the court playing against other beginners.
Lesson 2-3We will work to understand the difference between serve side and return side of pickleball. We will use the ball machine to work on forehand, backhand, 3 shot drop, lobs, smash. We will make sure we start to keep score and depending on the number of people play real games.
