The lesson opened with a clear focus on ball mastery and speed of play, and Dean’s calm, professional approach made Jayden feel supported. I’m hopeful for the small-match plan and continued progress.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonTeach them the fundamentals of the game of soccer, help them to understand how the game is played and give understanding of the basics needed to be successful at the sport.
Lesson 11+By this point students can hope to be ready for intermediate drills and activities which will be incorporated. Students will expect to a lot more play mini games to test and improve skills learned in practice in a game setting with different objectives to highlight particular skills and techniques. They will also be introduced to the addition of rules in game settings, this is aimed to instill the foundation of tactics in team settings. Development will determine how further weeks are planned.
Lesson 4-10The basics learned in prior weeks will be revised and if seen to be appropriate, expanded to incorporate higher levels of drills such as dribbling while moving, creating patterns with passing, defensive movement off the ball, etc.
Students will all be moved at their own individual pace but will be encouraged at all times to try and attain higher levels.
Lesson 2-3The student can expect ball work to familiarize themselves with the ball and the way it moves when it is hit. These weeks will focus on small ball movements like passing, basic dribbling and juggling as best as possible. Students will be monitored to determine individual levels.
Youth players
Working with kidsKids lessons will be focused on principles of the game, technique development, and will be tailored to harbor team identity, where the kids will learn collaboration for success.
Working with teenagersTeenager lessons will be focused more on refining the skills learned at a younger age. Principles of the game will be expanded upon, tactics of the game will be explored, more games in general to create competitive environments.
