Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWell depending on the age and there experience with water, I will first get my students to get acclimated and comfortable with the feeling of the water and get them confident in their ability to dunk their heads underwater.
Lesson 11+By this time we’d have already started working on refining our techniques with new strokes meanwhile we’d also better the endurance of the students so they are able to swim more than one lap. We’d move onto 2 laps, then 4, then to eventually doing 8.
Lesson 4-10By this time we’d have already gone through refining our swim abilities, we’d practice streamlines and practice trying to swim from one side of the pool onto the next with freestyle. By the 6-8th lesson we’d move onto learning new swimming techniques starting with backstroke.
Lesson 2-3We can move onto practicing floating on our backs and front. Then we’d move onto using the kickboard to practice kicking, then we’d use the kickboard to practice our strokes where they alternate hands on the board while the other hand scoops or strokes the water. This will get them comfortable with the movement but they are also supported by the kickboard that is floating.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonI would ask them what they think they can improve on and work from there.
Lesson 11+Improving on speed and technique. Attempt to reach new PR’s.
Lesson 4-10I would record and time my students to improve them in freestyle, backstroke, breastroke, and butterfly. Majority of my experienced students are usually competing in high school or in their club swim team.
Lesson 2-3By this time I would’ve helped the student out with the technical issues that they’re facing in swimmming. We’d also move onto improving our speed.

Youth players
Working with kidsI make it a fun experience where I use easy to understand words and I bring toys as a reward for the last 5 minutes of the lesson.

Working with teenagersI would be a person that teenagers can relate too as I am 19 and pretty young. Teenagers respect someone they can look up to and relate to.

What you need to bringGoggle’s, swim cap (optional), bathing suit, and a positive attitude!

What I can bringI can bring kickboards
