Harnessing 13 years of experience, including my time as a full ride scholarship D1 athlete, I'm passionate about fostering a love for tennis in players of all levels. I have 4 years of coaching experience under my belt and have worked with all ages since I initially started. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThis is usually where I like to get to know you! Introductory drills and hitting is usually what I do in the first lesson. I will also ask questions about what your goals are as well as provide advice on how to improve faster!
Lesson 11+Gradually increasing rallying and hitting skills. Tennis takes a lot of time to get better at and I prefer being patient with players rather than rushing
Lesson 4-10Some basic rallying and feeding drills!
Lesson 2-3Lots of hand drills and focusing on technique. I believe technique is the most important thing to teach beginners so I spend a lot of time with this
Youth players
Working with kidsI have worked with kids for a long time and find that the most success with kids is to keep them engaged through lots of games and prizes! I usually keep the lessons a little shorter for them and use balls that are adapted to younger age groups. These balls have less pressure in them making them easier to hit.
I start with a lot of hand drills, making sure they learn proper hand eye coordination and gradually work up to rallying and more complicated drilling
