Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first session will focus on introductions and teaching the fundamentals of volleyball
Lesson 11+students are expected to have learned basic techniques. The session may therefore include a practice match based on the group’s needs. With a larger group, a scrimmage can be organized; with a smaller group, the focus will remain on continuing to teach and refine fundamental skills.
Lesson 4-10From the fourth to the tenth session, the sessions will follow the same structure and drills, with the addition of physical fitness training and basic volleyball movements, including warm-up and volleyball-specific exercises. Each session will end with a recovery and cool-down period.
Lesson 2-3The training session begins with three stages. The first stage is the warm-up. The second stage focuses on volleyball-specific training. The third stage is the cool-down and stretching phase.

Youth players
Working with teenagers1. Simplifying concepts Teaching a child forces you to break down ideas into small, clear steps, which makes your lessons stronger and easier to follow. 2. Teaching through play Children learn best through play. Adding small games makes the lesson fun and increases focus. 3. Smart repetition Children need repetition, but in different ways (drill, game, challenge), which improves the quality of your teaching. 4. Quick error observation Working with a child develops your ability to notice and correct mistakes immediately and gently. 5. Positive communication Using simple encouraging words motivates the child and boosts their confidence, improving engagement with the lesson. 6. Time management Dividing the session (warm-up – skill – game – cool-down) keeps the child engaged and makes the session effective. 7. Flexibility Every child is different. Adapting to their level and learning speed enhances your skills as a coach.
