I really appreciated how we practiced alternating long and short shots. It gave me a clearer sense of how to vary my play, and I think I’ll be able to apply that during matches. Though, I’d like to keep practicing that technique a bit more to really make it second nature. Also, my serves are improving, and I’d love some additional tips to refine them further. Allen's approach is quite steady, and I’ve already noticed some positive changes in my game. Still, I hope to keep building on this progress in future lessons.

Allen is a great coach! Super knowledgeable, explains/models body mechanics so well that he helped me fix my serve after 6 months of bad habits. Only one lesson and he packed it with really helpful instructions on body/paddle position at the kitchen, driving shots, the importance of staying low, hitting behind the ball & more! His energy is motivating & his positivity is encouraging. I’ve had a few other coaches where I live a couple hours away and he’s the best of them all! Looking forward to my next lesson!!

Honestly, I think Eric's approach really works. He's an excellent coach, especially for someone new to pickleball like me. The lesson helped me understand the game better, and I appreciate his patience and clear explanations. Though I could still improve, I feel more confident about my skills now. To improve even more, I suppose I’ll need to keep practicing what we covered. Still, I’d say giving him a try is worth it if you’re looking to get a solid start.

I found the lesson helpful, especially drilling on common game shots and trying to control my shots more with a two-hand approach. Hitting with less force is still a challenge, and I appreciate that Allen focused on practical adjustments. More work on mid-court control and blocking hard shots at the kitchen line sounds promising for future lessons. I believe another lesson could really help refine my technique.

I do think maybe trying to add a new shot, like blocking at the net, could be a good next step, along with working on serves. Still, overall, it’s been quite helpful to see steady progress.
