I came from a sports and athletic background. I played football, basketball, and baseball as a kid. I also played college tennis and college basketball. 5 years ago, I picked up pickleball paddle, and everything changed. I played in my first senior pro event after only playing for 6 months. I love pickleball and the pickleball community. I have now won cover 30 tournaments from 4.0 to 4.5 to 5.0. I have also achieved silver and bronze on several other tournaments. I get as much satisfaction teaching and helping people get better as I do winning gold in tournaments. I am the head pickleball pro at AAG in Mesa, Arizona. I have been teaching pickleball for the last 3 years. I have taught clinics, private lessons, youth leagues, and private groups. Hi, I’m Rian Weston-Dodds, I’ve been playing for over 5 years now coaching for about 2. I’ve had a career high DUPR rating of over 5.0 and have coached at various locations including Picklemall, Life Time, the Picklr, and now soon Dink and Dine. I'm PPR certified, with 70 matches logged in DUPR from leagues and tournaments. I specialize in helping beginners players get a handle on the game, and also the intermediate players with strategy and technical aspects. I look forward to working with you on the court! At the moment, the Mountainside Fitness on Frank Lloyd Wright is the easiest way to get a an indoor court during the summer, free for members and only $10 for non members. It is on a basketball court but it works fine for practice. Otherwise, The Orchard Indoor Pickleball Private Event Venue by Talking Stick resort is also a good option for a rentable, authentic indoor court. But it does cost $30 for an hour. If you have your own private court let me know, otherwise many public courts get busy in the early mornings and afternoons but often times Ashler Hills usually has an open court.

My journey in golf, spans 37 years. I teach how to get the ball in the hole. That is first and foremost. I have played professionally on the Asian Development Tour back in 2015 and finished t23rd in Johor, Malaysia and was awarded conditional status. I have 1 mini tour win as well at Ocotillo GC 2015 (-13) 3 days. I have an annual charity golf scramble tournament that started in 2012 called The Mandatory. We have donated over $200k in 12 years. I love the outdoors, my two dogs Arnie & Tommy Bolt, mountain biking, soccer, and yea golf too!
