I bring 19 years of experience playing and learning the game of golf, with a background as a college-level athlete and collegiate golf team player, and extensive competitive experience. During high school, my team qualified for the state championships, and during that same period I competed in high-level matches, including a head-to-head match against Sam Horsfield, giving me early exposure to elite competition and pressure situations. While I have a strong understanding of the technical side of the golf swing, my teaching approach is not overly technical. I’m a feel-based player, and just like I play the game, I teach it—focusing on feel, awareness, and simple keys that translate naturally to the course. I believe great golf comes from understanding what to feel, not being overloaded with mechanics. A major part of my instruction focuses on the mental side of the game, which I believe is often overlooked. I’ve studied golf psychology extensively, including Bob Rotella’s golf psychology work, and I help students develop confidence, commitment, and trust under pressure. I’ve worked with golfers of all skill levels, helping students improve ball-striking, consistency, confidence, and course management. Every lesson is tailored to the individual, emphasizing changes that are easy to understand, repeat, and hold up on the course. My goal is simple: help you play better golf on the course, not just hit good shots on the range. I’ve been playing golf for 40 years, enjoying it in competitive amateur tournaments, recreationally, for corporate entertainment. I've been honored to play many of the world’s top golf courses and meet several legends of the game like Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Tony Jacklin, and David Duval. As a lifelong student of the game I’ve received instruction from The Faldo Golf School, Milo Lines Academy, and Dave Pelz short game and putting schools which have helped improved my game. An alumnus of the University of Central Florida, he earned his Bachelor's in Music Performance in 2014, where he studied with Dr. Ayako Yonetani. His musical journey also includes guidance and mentorship from Dr. Chung Park and a longstanding 11-year engagement with the University of Central Florida Symphony Orchestra, pausing only recently to pursue professional opportunities. Prior to UCF, he studied with Amy Jevitt, former Assistant Concertmaster of the Brevard Symphony Orchestra, at Eastern Florida State College. With over seven years of teaching experience, Mr. Chris has nurtured students who've triumphed in auditions for prestigious youth and All-county orchestras. His teaching extends to A Gift for Music program, where he brings violin education to Title 1 elementary schools. A proponent of the transformative power of music, he firmly believes it's accessible to all and takes pride in his ability to coach any aspiring violinist.
