I played division 1 tennis for University of Hartford. Since than I take pride in being one of the busiest USTA Eastern tournament Men’s player. I’ve spent years teaching golf to everyone from elementary-school beginners to seasoned bogey golfers in their 60s. One thing I’ve learned is that progress comes from repetition—not from long, complicated lessons or high-tech gadgets. In fact, two short 30-minute lessons are far more effective than one long session, because most students don’t have the time to practice enough to absorb everything at once. And while cameras and swing-analysis apps can look impressive, they rarely help unless a student specifically wants them and knows how to use the information. My teaching philosophy is simple: start from the true basics, see students frequently, and let them practice correctly right in front of me.
