Hello, my name is Kira Lowery! I am a professional basketball player, looking to share my knowledge of the game and experiences to student-athletes of all ages and genders. My coaching style focuses on skill work with minimal conditioning, which will be beneficial for game-like situations. While working with student-athletes, my goal is to help build their confidence and teach them the importance of maintaining a consistent and efficient work ethic. Fun Facts About Me: At six years old, I played in my very first basketball game. I scored a basket, the crowd cheered loudly.. and I covered my ears and cried because it was so loud! Let's fast forward! I spent my first two years of college at a JUCO (Dyersburg State CC). During my time there, I received All Freshman Team, All Conference both years, and was named Offensive MVP and JUCO All American Third Team during my sophomore season. Afterwards, I played at two Division 1 programs, Auburn University and North Carolina Central University. At NCCU, I was named Team MVP my last two years of undergrad, whilst earning my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Cum Laude. Once I graduated from NCCU, I went on to play overseas in Pozega, Croatia. I was blessed enough to be the starting point guard as a rookie, averaging 10.2 ppg, shooting 50% from the field. I look forward to meeting and assisting you all!

I have played 2 years of High School basketball and AAU. I have also played 2 years of High School football and ran track as well. My goal is to create confident athletes and dedicated teammates. Coach Shamari has been in the basketball world for over 15 years. She played high school basketball at the Bartlett High School-one of the best in Tennessee-leading her team to back-to-back state championship appearances. She went on to play at Holmes Community College before transferring to Memphis' own LeMoyne-Owen College for the Spring 2025 semester. While she may be early in her coaching career, her lifelong experience in the game has prepared her for any challenge. Her goal is to provide players with everything she never received from her coaches, ensuring each athlete develops to their full potential.
