Briana Esparza was the head coach of the Girls Varsity Golf team at Providence High School in Burbank, California, having joined the athletics department in July 2024. With a strong background in education and mental health treatment, Briana combines her passion for teaching with her love of golf to inspire young athletes. As a graduate of Golf Academy of America, Carlsbad, California (sadly no longer in business), I studied the psychology of golf, complex teaching and course management. I also learned how to build a set of golf clubs as well as mastering the complex rules of golf, and the overall fundamentals of how to coach and instruct students. During my 2 years at GAA, I quickly excelled, making the competitive Club Golf Team. I came to learn that there are no two identical golf swings. It is my job to assist you to find the mechanically correct way to improve your swing and develop your short game. Whenever you’re ready to lower that scorecard, I’m ready to coach you!

Timothy Galvan has been playing golf for over 30 years. He attended and graduated Hawaii Pacific University on a golf scholarship in 2009. While there, he took on a leadership role as the Head Coach for the University’s men’s team. While attending school Timothy worked for the K’oalau Golf Course as an Assistant Professional. He gained experience in course management and all things operations; K’oalau is also where he began his teaching career. Timothy turned professional after graduating college in 2009 and has competed on tours all over the world. In 2015 Timothy shifted his focus to player development and private coaching. He has focused on cultivating a high-end clientele base and turning weekend golfers into confident athletes. He helps people take their love for golf and become the best golfer that they can be. Timothy is excited to be a part of the Calabasas Country Club team as their Director of Golf Instrucon. He brings with him over a decade of experience and a lifetime of passion, with a hunger to create lasting experiences.
