Dive into the world of jazz with me! I'm Larry, currently serving as the pianist for the UC San Diego Jazz Ensemble under the guidance of Grammy award-winning producer and arranger Kamau Kenyatta. For the past 7 months and ongoing, I've honed my skills and expanded my musical horizons under his mentorship. My journey in music began over a decade ago, with 11 years of experience in classical performance before delving into jazz at UC San Diego. Through undergraduate coursework in classical theory/counterpoint, jazz theory, and production/audio engineering, I've developed a strong foundation in classical and jazz disciplines. Under Professor Kenyatta's tutelage, I've delved deep into jazz piano and theory, refining my techniques and exploring new creative avenues.
