"Joe Matias is an exceptional pickleball coach! When I first started, I had no experience and barely knew the rules, but Joeβs expertise and patient guidance turned things around. His deep knowledge of the sport and ability to break down techniques made learning both easy and enjoyable. Joeβs coaching style is a perfect mix of professionalism and kindness. He takes the time to focus on individual needs, helping you build skills step by step while keeping the process fun and engaging. Thanks to his encouragement and positive attitude, Iβve gone from knowing nothing to genuinely loving the game. If youβre looking for a coach who will make pickleball both accessible and exciting, Joe is the one. I canβt recommend him highly enough!

Hello! My name is Kevin, and Iβm a fun, local Los Angeles pickleball coach with over 20 years of playing and teaching experience in both pickleball and tennis. I started playing tennis at Griffith Park at age eight and went on to play varsity tennis for four years at Marshall High School, winning four Adult League California Sectionals and two national titles. Throughout my coaching career, Iβve worked with numerous college players at top universities like USC and UCLA and hold a PTR certification for teaching kids. I currently run various clinics, including afterschool pickleball sessions for kids (ages 9-15) and Sunday tennis programs in San Gabriel, where I balance clinics with match play. As a Senior PPA Pickleball Gold Medalist, Iβm passionate about growing the sport. I offer beginner clinics focused on DUPR ratings, host events at private and indoor facilities, and create a fun learning environment for all levels. Whether youβre new to pickleball or looking to elevate your game, Iβd love to help you improve and enjoy the sport!
"Taught me how to play defense against bangers.
