My name is Roberto. I was born and raised in San JosΓ©, Costa Rica, and I came to the United States nine years ago to play college tennis. I graduated from Azusa Pacific University (nation's top 10 NCAA Division II school) with a B.A. in Business Management and served as the team's captain on my last semester. I have also coached beginner and intermediate tennis players of all ages in Costa Rica as well as several collegiate dual matches. Regarding my playing history, I have played tournaments in over 10 countries, obtained a junior international ranking, and reached a ranking of #8 in Costa Rica. As of this year, I started coaching pickleball and the experience has been no different! Concepts are very similar and time to raise level is actually shorter!
"I appreciated Robertoβs patience and support. I felt encouraged through my lesson and gained some confidence by the end.

With a positive, upbeat coaching style, Darryl is dedicated to building his students' confidence and ensuring they have fun while making real progress.
"Darryl most certainly got me addicted to this game. He even recommended paddles that benefited my playstyle. He really improved my cross-court dinking game. Highly recommend!
