A former national junior champion, Carey represented his native country of New Zealand in international play before attending and earning a B.A. in Business Management from Colorado State University-Pueblo,where twice he was awarded All-American status and selected to represent the NAIA national team. Carey has earned many accolades, has several USTA/USPTA certifications, and has been as high as #308 in ATP rankings. Some of his other impressive stats include being inducted into the CSU Pueblo Hall of Fame for Men's Tennis, being a Two-Time All-American in singles at the University of Southern Colorado, being the 2006 USPTA Junior Development Coach of the Year, the 2005 Rocky Mountain News 5A Boy's HS Coach of the Year, the 2004, CHSAA 5A Coach of the Year, and the Colorado State Open Singles Champion. When not teaching tennis, you might find Carey on the dance floor doing the Cha-cha.

Erik is from Lenexa, KS where he was introduced to tennis at the young age of 7 years old by his father. He started teaching tennis at the age of 14. He played his freshman year of college at Middle Tennessee State University where the team was conference champions and Erik was conference champion at #2 doubles. At Hampton University, he was two time conference champion and finished one season undefeated with a record of 25-0 in singles. As a team, they finished second in NCAA Division II National Championship. He was an All-American while at Hampton as well. Erik spent a few years teaching and playing on the professional tennis circuit, and finished his education at Methodist University where he got his B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Professional Tennis Management. Erik has over 30 year of tennis teaching and playing experience. He is USPTA, USPTR, and USTA certified. In his free time, Erik enjoys watching Kansas City Chiefs football and University of Kansas basketball as well as watching processional tennis and listening to 80βs and 90βs music. Erik really enjoys teaching others the great sport of tennis, it is an enriching experience, and he loves to share his knowledge and expertise with others.
