Karen is a Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) Certified pickleball coach who has been playing pickleball competitively for 10+ years. A national medalist in doubles and singles with a former competitive tennis background, she enjoys teaching pickleball to beginners and intermediate players seeking to improve their skills. She offers private and small group lessons, tailored to meet each student's needs wherever they are on their pickleball journey. Lessons may focus on technique/mechanics/footwork, strategy, court positioning, teamwork, tournament prep, mental focus and more, depending on each student's individual skills and goals.

I loved Karen’s thorough explanation of all things Pickleball, including game rules, equipment, and basic strategies. The lesson had plenty of practice time and packed a lot into just an hour, which was pretty amazing. If you want to learn the game well, Karen’s lessons are definitely worth trying out. You’ll leave feeling more confident and ready to play! 🎾

As a beginner wanting to improve my skills, I’ve tried a few different instructors, and I’ve learned that not every great player is a good coach. I’m so happy to have found Karen. Not only is she a skilled trainer, she also makes the training sessions fun. As a self-conscious newbie, her approachable demeanor put me at ease right away.
One of Karen’s strengths is her ability to verbalize instructions clearly and explain things in easy to understand terms. I also appreciate that, even at my level, she interweaves teaching basic moves with tips on strategy, and also provides helpful feedback.

What I can bringI bring plenty of balls, as well as targets and other court supplies, and I can bring extra paddles if you don’t have your own.
