It was a great first lesson! Sean assessed my skills and addressed my issues transferring from tennis to pickleball. We performed drills. Sean not only explained the why, but showing me and breaking it down on the court was very helpful. Would absolutely suggest taking lessons to build good skills if you're just starting out or a former tennis player.

The lesson with Sean was quite relaxed, and I appreciated his patience and solid knowledge. We focused on some specific techniques, and I still see plenty of room to improve on my skills. Still, I felt like I left with a clearer understanding of certain shots, which is encouraging. If you're after a low-pressure environment to get a grasp on pickleball fundamentals, I think Sean's worth a try.

A lot of fun and included playing my first real match!

Starting at the beginning was really what I needed, and Sean’s lesson did a solid job of giving me that. Though I still see this as part of my ongoing process, I think the next step in my learning will be to focus on applying what I learned to actual matches. It’s encouraging to feel like I’ve made some progress, and I’d say it’s quite helpful that he pinpointed what I need to work on without overloading me. Honestly, if you're looking for a coach who knows how to get you started without rushing, you might find this lesson worthwhile.

Sean is the best teacher…he targeted all the key moves and strategies to be a successful Pickleball player.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonPaddle type and purpose, paddle grip, dink warm up.
Lesson 11+At the end I provide an overview of what steps to take next to improve.
Lesson 4-10I provide feedback of each skill performance of the student and how to drill each skill.
Lesson 2-3Provide a digital and/or printed copy of the USA Pickleball Skill Assessment Sheet and start at the top explaining each requirement, a demonstration, and then a guided exercise of each skill per the Assessment Sheet.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonA quick analysis of the player rating by written recording of a USA Pickleball Skill Assessment Sheet according to players self report or DUPR rating.
Lesson 11+Even advanced players can benefit from refining specific aspects of their game. Identify areas where the player could improve, like shot selection, footwork, or consistency. Help them break down their game into smaller elements, and work on those individually.
Lesson 4-10Create drills that challenge their skills in new ways. For example, practice unconventional shots, serve and return variations, or endurance-focused drills. While they may already be good at executing these shots, forcing them to do it in unusual scenarios can push their limits.
Lesson 2-3Equipment, and services offered: ERNE Ball Thow machine with 90 Franklin X40’s. Professional photography on-site of training or gameplay improving their social media to attract sponsors. 1 hour GoPro video assessment of drilling and or gameplay provided to student.
