Hey my name is Jason and I am a basketball trainer in the nyc area! With over 25 years of basketball playing experience, I've helped players of all ages and skill levels unlock their full potential on the court. My coaching style blends technical expertise with a fun, supportive environment that fosters growth and a true love of the game. I will tailor a training program that will improve the skills that need the most improvement. I have years of experience playing basketball since I was a child throughout high school and intramurally in college. I have been a basketball trainer for 5 years as I have taken on clients who want to improve in forest hills league from an Asian community as well as any players who would like to improve. I specialize in plyometric training exercises that improve vertical jumping, speed and quickness. I focus on good diet, recovery, consistency, and fundamentals with all of my basketball training clients. I train first in fundamentals, then move on to simulate in-game situations, and finally scrimmages or pickup games. I played academy my whole life and went on playing for the youth national team of Türkiye & Germany from U14-U17. After playing academy I went on playing at Villanova University and University of Portland D1 soccer. I graduated in 2022 and been a coach myself ever since. Soccer is more than a sport; it is my lifelong passion.

"The lesson with Daryl focused quite a bit on shooting drills, which really helped me refine my technique. Though reviewing what I’m working on can sometimes feel repetitive, I still appreciated the emphasis on solid fundamentals. Still, I think going over progress more frequently might make the lessons even more effective. But yeah, I’d say try Daryl if you want structured training that pays attention to detail.

With three years of pickleball instruction, I tailor my coaching to each student's needs. My passion is fostering confidence and skill in a fun, supportive environment. Let's elevate your game together! I wrote a fun book about pickleball entitled: Is There Pickleball in Heaven?” New students get a complimentary copy of this book. I’m certified Level I Instructor with the IPTPA. Over the years I have taught about 40 people on game fundamentals. I teach indoors as well as outside, weather permitting.
