I’ve tutored mathematics for many years, making it my main job for 2 of those years at a company called MeriEducation even doing SAT and ACT math tutoring! I’ve tutored everything from elementary mathematics up to calculus and it has been a passion of mine to keep giving students the insight for mathematics that takes away the anxiety and makes student life a little easier.
I've been a math teacher for 25 years teaching mostly upper level high school classes. Additionally I've taught calculus 1, 2, and 3at local universities as well as authoring, designing, and teaching online math curriculum. I've also been a consultant for the college board, traveling the country to teach AP teachers how to teach AP Calculus and AP Computer Science.
I have a bachelors degree in Biology and am passionate about education. I have experience in Montessori approach with toddlers. I have tutored in a traditional learning style elementary school. I have two kids, and currently tutor my tenth grader. I have also tutored calculus and physics while in college. After working with me, I truly hope you walk away knowing what you need to focus on. "Helps me in a fun and cool way she helped me in decimals. And is the reason I am so smart but some times I don’t understand and she tries to help in different ways to make sure I understand. Like the way she thought me how to spell banana and understand. She’s really helpful and smart. Sometimes she will teach you a song to help you spell like the banana song. She’s been teaching for a long time she’s been teaching me for almost 5 years.
