He is also a former Texas sectional major zone tournament champion at the 5.0 level and was USPTA certified to teach tennis 1999. Among his many achievements, his favorite memory is playing father-son doubles. As a coach, Brian has guided thousands of students, earning recognition from the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department for his work with junior players. "Generally, I find Brian has a good structure on the court, and he can rally with me for more energy and engagement which keeps things pretty active. Still, I’d like to see us progress towards a full shot regimen during rallies, though. If that improves, I think it’ll help me quite a bit moving forward. Definitely worth trying out if you want a coach who can keep the structure going without losing focus.
